Treasurer’s Report: Shannon reported that Matt has not yet spent the band grant money. The choir 20% portion of the car wash has not been distributed yet. The check for $(redacted) will be made to Shadle Park Choir ASB.
The current balance is $(redacted) with some pending, available balance is $(redacted).
Charlotte moved and Lisa seconded that we approve funds for several uniform scholarships. The motion carried.
Old Business: Uniforms - has been a lot of work. Charlotte created a new spread sheet so next year can go smoothly. Former students need to be on the first day, to secure their uniforms on orientation time.
Jazz band night 12/12 will be a potluck - Taco night - Kary, meat - Lisa, shredded cheese - Shannon, flour tortillas and chips - Charlotte , lettuce tomatoes, olives - Matt, rice & beans - Amanda, salsa, sour cream, & guacamole. Ask students to bring drinks, dessert & paper products.
Fundraising - Fundraise Genius, takes 15%. A week ago the kids put emails in to the portal. Not many kids have participated in putting 10 emails in (13). 89 students are registered for the trip. The students will need $370. The fund raiser is ready to roll, as soon as we are ready. Kary will provide a $5 Starbucks card for every 5 members who submit 10 emails, for an incentive.
The Trip - The trip will require about $350 per kid. The fundraising is hoping to raise $200 of that. $150 is the goal for the kids to have to pay for the trip. Matt suggested a commitment form for the students and the payment for attending the trip to Portland/Vancouver, WA. It will be for band and orchestra at the same time. It is March 14-17, 2024. There is a need to get the instruments down and the pipe band students back on Saturday early enough.
Sponsorships: We will work to get sponsorships $500 gets you mentions at the concerts, the programs and the website.
